How To Make $10k/Month Consistently As A Coach/Expert

Just 2 weeks back I hopped on call with a personal trainer.

Like me, he’s a dad who wants to work hard and make more money for the family.

So he came to me for advice and our conversation revolved around using social media and ads to acquire more clients.

Which is what prompted me to write this letter today.

Because I found out that he was making $2k a month at a commercial gym.

And that hit me hard, because I know if he were to venture out on his own as a freelance trainer…

He could make way more.

And I dare to say it because I’ve helped at least 2 coaches/experts generate more than $10k per month consistently.

I’ve seen this story so many times.

Talented coaches…. Skilled professionals…. Experts who pour their heart into helping others but can’t seem to build stability in their own business.

So I’m gonna break it down how you can do it, and it starts almost the same way every time I help these experts:

  1. Get clear on your offer
  2. Generate traffic
  3. Have conversations and close

That’s the whole playbook.

Let me first share with you how this coach/expert managed to hit 5 figure months consistently…

And they’ve since moved on to a bigger gym.

Back in somewhere around May 2024, this personal trainer saw my ad and reached out to me.

Unlike most trainers, his niche was unique

He helped people fix chronic back pain through corrective movement.

His results were amazing…

But his messaging/offer was unclear.

At that point, he spent 6 months learning marketing on his own…

Building funnels, landing pages, ads…

But he could only get 5 clients in that 6 months.

When we worked together, he got 5 new clients in the first month.

So how did we do it?

First, we crafted a clear offer.

We defined the pain he solves, the transformation he delivers, and how he does it.

Then we turned that into a $2,000++ package.

Then we made it known.

We rewrote his Instagram bio using a simple formula I always share:

I help [target audience] solve [problem] using [mechanism].

His became:

“I help people get rid of back pain by teaching them how to move correctly.”

Finally, I wrote an ad for him where he clearly states how he can help people remove back pain.

Leads started flowing in…

Appointments were made…

Sales started coming in, and the rest is history.

This same system is still active as I write this…

And this same exact system is also being used by my other clients who are in the expert niche.

In fact, this same client introduced another coach who was in the similar situation as him.

Within the first month, this coach crossed 5 figures, and now, he’s hiring team members to help scale the business.

What I noticed is this:

Experts/coaches weren’t struggling with skill.

They struggled with clarity on what to offer, how to price it, how to sell it.

They were doing great work but hiding behind vague messaging.

Once we built clear, high-value offers, and made them visible…

Everything changed.

Because people can’t buy from you if they don’t understand you.

Here’s the exact 3-step process I use with every client who wants to scale to consistent $10K months:

Step 1: Craft a Clear Offer

Don’t sell benefits/features. Selling transformation.

Define three things clearly:

  • Who you want to help
  • What you can help them with
  • How you can help them

Then build a package around it.

Price it at least $2K.

It could be 1-on-1, group, hybrid, online, or in-person.

The delivery doesn’t matter.

The clarity does.

Because when your offer is clear, everything else becomes easier.

If you sell a $2K offer, you only need five clients per month to hit $10K.

That’s it.

Step 2: Generate Traffic

Now that your offer is clear, people need to see it.

You can grow organically by posting valuable, problem-solving content that speaks directly to your audience’s pain points.

Or, you can speed things up with paid ads.

Either way, your content must do two things:

  1. Help people see that you understand their problem
  2. Invite them to take the next step with you

Every post, story, or video should make it obvious who you help and what you help them achieve.

That’s why every video and caption should have a very clear CTA (call to action).

Get people to DM you, leave a comment, or click on your website.

Step 3: Have Conversations + Close

This is where most coaches fall off.

They post great content… but never talk to people.

Traffic is useless without conversation.

Start small.

Message people who engage.

Ask questions.

Offer help, not pressure.

If your offer is $2K and you close 25% of your conversations, you only need to talk to 20 people a month.

That’s 5 conversations a week.

That’s how you get to $10K.

It’s all about crafting a clear offer… getting eyeballs on it, and talking to people about it.
